3/7/1901 Dr. L. H. Pammel Ames Iowa. My dear Prof. Pammel, I am very grateful to you for your kindly advice respecting my Herb. The letter was very timely. I laid the matter before the Fin. Com. together with your letter and the school wishes to keep it and I think well make suitable provisions for it. If they do not I will let you know. I had a delightful visit on last Thursday from Mr. Carlton R. Ball. He seemed to be very much pleased with our work in this peticular Dept.
