Feb. 12th, 1902 Dr. L. H. Pammel, Ames, Iowa. My Dear Professor Pammel: I beg leave to thank you for your kindly words respecting our little leaflet. Under separate cover I am sending you a few specimens of Fungi which I think you will find interesting. As I stated to you some time ago, I have a great many more but it seems that I never find time enough to get things in definite shape, although my building is almost through its recent metamorphosis, if I may term it so, which gives me a nice large herbarium room and an additional museum room; so I trust things will be more convenient for me to lay out a few occasionally for you. I wish to be most kindly remembered to Mrs. Pammel and the children. Wish it were possible for you to visit the South and, of course, stop and see me. I beg to remain, Yours most sincerely, Geo. W. Carver
