May 17/1900 Prof. L. H. Pammel, Ames, Iowa My dear Prof. Pammel, Thank you for the advice given I am monographing my Ala. Collection of fungi. I am following the method of our paper in the Acad. of Science, giving a few notes on distribution and destructiveness. Will this be O.K.? To whom can I refer doubtful specimens. I would like to have the Cercas. Specimens determined. Do you know of any rust on Zephyranthes Atamosco. I have a nice lab of it, I am going to send you some when it dries. I have the puccinia unedo and one leaf with Alcidium on it. I have not collected this before. Quite a large number of my specimens have been determined by Prof. Earle, of Auburn Ala. and some published. Any information will be thankfully rec. I may come home this summer. Love to All. Very truly Geo. W. Carver
