3/26/22 My dear Dr. Pammel:-- How surprised I was to receive a copy of the Times with its illuminated write up by yourself. Had there been no name attached to it I would have known that you wrote it. You have such a remarkable gift of the pen as well as in other things. I notice also that you cannot help doing the things that has always made your life stand out as most useful and helpful. You have always been ever mindful of others, and I am sure that thousands of boys and girls, men and women all over the state of Iowa, and other states as well, yea throughout the country will continue to rise up and call you blessed. Much of what I have been able to accomplish is and has been due to the information and inspiration I have gotten from my beloved teacher Dr. Pammel. You will never know in this world how supremely happy I was to see you last summer. I wish also to say to Mrs. Pammel that I owe a debt to her, for her great kindness and encouragement when in school, that I can never pay. I pray that God will continue to bless you in His richest way. I am sending you an article a feature story which I am sure you will be interested in. Sincerely yours, Geo. W. Carver
